Mini Puff Pastry Pizzettas

Cooking Time:

30 mins

Level:

Easy

These mini puff pastry pizzettas are an easy finger food recipe made with ready-rolled puff pastry, passata, olive oil, and oregano. They are crisp around the edges, soft in the middle, and simple enough for children to enjoy. They are perfect for football nights, movie nights, children’s parties, or any relaxed evening when you want something small, warm, and easy to share.

Ingredients

1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
4–5 tablespoons passata
1 teaspoon olive oil
A pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, or to taste

Cut the Pastry Circles

Unroll the puff pastry and place it on baking paper. Use a glass or round cutter to cut out small circles.

Use the Leftover Pastry

Gather the leftover pastry scraps, press them together gently, and roll them out again. Cut one or two more circles if possible.

Place Them on a Baking Tray

Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the pastry circles flat on the tray, leaving a little space between each one.

Add the Tomato Sauce

Mix the passata with olive oil, salt, and dried oregano. Spoon a little tomato sauce onto each pastry circle, leaving a clean border around the edge.

Bake Until Puffed and Golden

Bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes, or until the pastry edges are puffed, golden, and slightly crisp.

Angelina’s Notes:

These little pizzettas remind me of simple party food for children in Italy. They are small, colourful, and easy to eat with your hands.

I like this recipe because it feels playful but does not need much work. Ready-rolled puff pastry makes everything quick, and the tomato topping keeps it light and simple.

The clean border around the tomato sauce is important. It helps the pastry puff up nicely and gives each pizzetta a crisp golden edge.

They are lovely for a football night, a movie night, or a relaxed family snack when everyone wants something small to pick up and share.
