Crispy garlic bread bites made with a simple baguette, garlic, butter, olive oil, and parsley. This is an easy finger food recipe for a football night, movie night, or a relaxed evening at home.
1 baguette
1 garlic clove
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
A pinch of saltA little black pepper, option

Cut the baguette into 6 to 8 even pieces. Try to keep the cut sides flat, so the garlic butter mixture can sit nicely on top.

Crush one garlic clove with a garlic press and place it in a small bowl. Add the butter, olive oil, parsley, salt, and a little black pepper if you like. Microwave for about 20 seconds, or until the butter has melted.

Dip each piece of baguette into the melted garlic butter mixture. For a stronger flavor, you can dip both cut sides.

The garlic may sink to the bottom of the bowl. Use a small brush to spread the remaining garlic evenly over the bread pieces, so each piece gets a little garlic on top.

Place the bread pieces on a baking tray, cut side up. Bake at 170°C for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the bread is golden, crisp, and fragrant.
Angelina Notes
This recipe is a good way to use up a day-old baguette. In our home, rice, pasta, and bread can all appear on the table, so sometimes a baguette is not finished on the same day. Instead of throwing it away, I like to give it a second life with a simple garlic butter and olive oil mixture. It becomes warm, crisp, and fragrant again.
A simple supermarket baguette works very well for this recipe. It does not need to be fancy. This is the kind of food I like to make for a football night, a movie night, or any evening when we want something easy to share.
